I only did one thing today and that was visit the Daniel Boone home in Defiance, MO

It was such an honor to be greeted by the man himself!

This property was a Spanish Land Grant to Nathen Boone, Daniels son. It consisted of 675 acres. Most of the buildings here have been moved from within fifty miles of the property and have been arranged to represent a typical village of the time. This was the Newton Howell House.

Squire Boone house, Dan younger brother.

Covered bridge, a few more shots throughout the day.

The Boone House, but mostly he only spent the last few years of his life here.

He sat for this picture two hears before he passed. It was the only picture that he ever sat for.

The walls are 2.5' thick
