If you are looking for the wedding pics, just scroll down a ways or click on older post at the bottom of the page.
This sign in Alaska made me smile
 .

This little cabin was near where we parked the car when we went to breakfast.

We had breakfast at the Roadhouse in Talkeetna. The place is small so they tell you to sit anywhere there is an empty chair.

You probably won't be sitting with your party, but you do get to meet new people this way.

The guys on the near end of this table own a brewery, but were down here with their kids on a rafting trip.

You can even spend the night in one of their upstairs rooms.

His kids ordered one pancake. They could only eat  half of it.

It hasn't run for awhile.

When I took this pic someone was in the space they were trying to save.

My oldest sister lightened their inventory.

I really thought they might have some Mexican Moose takos!

A pretty cool store, everything from hardware to liquor.

I like the flying moose.

We stopped at the Birch Syrup Store

They use these snowshoes when they collect the sap from the trees in april

This clip on tracks make this Polaris very useful in the snow. They say they produce most of the worlds Birch Syrup.

We are going to Whittier, AK for the best Clam Chowder in AK.

To get there you must share the tunnel with cars, trains, and motorcycle.

It is the longest tunnel in North America at 2.5 miles. Only one lane so vehicles head north on the straight up hours and south on the half hours.

A cool waterfall behind the largest residence in Whittier. 200 of the 220 residents live in this old government building.

Whittier is a port that accepts Ferries, Cruise Ships, and both personal and commercial fishing vessels.

After the 1964 9.4 earthquake it was hit by a 30' and then shortly later a 104' tsunami

A Shopper Lady, AKA my wife Jeannie

Or you might fall into the ocean

Glaciers were hard to photograph today with the low clouds, but you can see this one okay.

About the same length of line going the other way.

The trains take priority in the tunnel

That's okay with me

They have headlights on both ends so they can run them backwards.

This is the ski lodge at Alyeska, AK

A secret flower.

Night Watchman

The tram destination

Ken and Shari warming up

My wife and sister doing the same

Looking down at the Lodge from the tram

More snow as we near the top

I was surprised that Jeannie got on board but she seemed to enjoy it.

About to load up at the top

One of several cable pulleys that carry the tram

I better post this pic since I made her stand out in the cold so I could take the picture

They are probably talking about the weather

They are listening about the weather

A gift shop at the top

A view of Turnagain Arm

I think the tin foil was added to make her sandals look like snow boots.

The most exciting part of the ride is the swinging motion from going over the support tower.

About to dock at the top

It can hold 60 people

Looking down on the chopper

My wife sending bear hugs

Glad he was stuffed

They rolled out the red carpet for us.
