We had Chinese last evening. I tried all of the meats and some broccoli. Most of it was delicious and what you see on that plate filled me up!

Sherm looks happy with his too!

Being ex service, Sherm leaves his bed somewhat neat, me not so much!

In NM on I-40 close to the Texas border.

A very cool travel stop,

free museum,

with lots of memorabilia!

One of my favorite cars, 55 Corvette. Piece of junk back then, but so desired now!

Still cool 59 Ford Skyliner

Something for Susan, no, not Elvis!

I always wanted one of these when I was in my twenties.

Hey MaryAnne, I took these next few for you.

Things are big in Texas. This is the largest cross in the western hemisphere!

I'm off on another trip with my buddy Sherm. We planned to meet up in Winslow, AZ. Our meeting place will be the Flying J, but first the obligatory pictures of Standing on the Corner. I know, you have seen these before, but I know that at least one of you hasn't!

"There's a girl my lord in a flat bed Ford, stopped to take a look at me!"

One of the original Harvey Houses on Route 66

Still a fine Hotel and Restaurant

The "Meet Up"

I thought I heard a Harley pulling in and turned around to see it, just this locomotive. :)

Always a nice place to eat. We both had chile relleno's.

I thought this little locomotive from a sewing machine was pretty cute.

We both rode, one in an air conditioned super cab getting 12 mpg.

And one with all natural air conditioning getting 43 mpg.

271.3 miles. That is the most I have ever gone on one tank of gas in this bike, or any of the many bikes I have owned in my life! When I was about a 1/4 mile from the filling station, I fully expected to run out. However, after filling it to the brim, I realized I could have ridden another 17 miles.
