March 5th, Garry and I went back today to see if we could complete the ride that turned us around last week.

These first five pics are from his camera.

This short hill is very loose and a little steeper than the camera shows. Notice the saguaro's in the background leaning.

We decided to ride anyway in spite of the fact that the water was still flowing pretty well.

A very small waterfall.

Surprisingly, the road surface is also the river bottom in some areas.

One of probably 25 wash crossings.

Garry enjoying the very green desert.

At Castle Hot Springs they are rebuilding the old resort that burned down last year.

To me it is looking like they are going to re-open the resort to the public.

We'll just have to wait and see.

Green

I have never seen it this lush before!

These water tanks are big enough to supply a small town.

It looks like they are keeping the original structure the way it was in the 20's

I'll be really surprised to ever see the desert like this again!

So beautiful! A fantastic day!!!
